The Free2Express Hackathon 2025 is a one-day civic innovation event that unites 25 changemakers from across Zimbabwe to develop bold, practical tools for:

  1. Defending media freedom
  2. Fighting disinformation
  3.  Expanding access to information, particularly in rural areas

This year’s theme centres on Zimbabwe’s constitutional rights to freedom of expression and access to information (Sections 61 & 62). Participants will form teams to compete for cash prizes and the opportunity to create real-world impact!
