As we approach our 20th anniversary next year, Magamba continues to grow across Africa.

Today, we’re announcing one of the biggest changes in our history: the launch of our Magamba Africa Hub in Gaborone, Botswana.

This marks the evolution of Magamba into a truly continent-wide network. Going forward, all of Magamba’s Africa-wide programmes and partnerships will be coordinated from Botswana, while our Zimbabwe operations will be rebranded as Magamba ZW: our local organization focused on nationwide arts, culture and digital programming.

Zimbabwe remains the beating heart of the network, our creative hub and content hub. Botswana becomes our Africa-facing civic hub, connecting movements, creatives and changemakers across the continent.

The mothership is now Magamba Network, headquartered in Botswana, bringing together a growing family that includes Magamba ZW, our Zimbabwe Private Voluntary Organization, Studio Moto ZW, our audiovisual social enterprise, and Magamba Media, our independent media house.

From Harare to Gaborone. From local impact to continental reach.

The network continues to grow.
