Voice2Rep is a joint initiative between Magamba & Accountability Lab Zimbabwe. Voice2Rep is a first-of-its-kind music competition searching for underground and undiscovered music artists who support greater representation, participation and accountability.The music competition is committed to find, support and connect socially conscious and engaged artists who want to gain the knowledge and skills to integrate social justice and accountability issues of their communities in the music they create.Every year the competition brings together 10 up and coming Zimbabwean singers to undergo training and mentorship by established producers and musicians.The 10 get an opportunity to record an album together while they also compete at Shoko Festival, where the overall winner for that year is chosen and awarded a prize that includes a video recording gig, and an investment into their music based on a proposal that they submit to Voice2Rep.
